My first collaboration with Elise Lai - Binding a book for an art project by Elise.

"Most of the travelling guides in book stores are about entertainment or famous tourist
spots. As a traveller, I have a desire to collect and make a travelling guide with some
personally recommended places away home from different people, we can see some
relatively personal and intimate travelling recommendations in this book.

This is a travelling guide of the collective memories from everyone I interviewed, the
conversations between me and each of them were held in a usually comfortable and
causal way like having a dinner, drinking coffee and chatting in a private place.

To hear, share, penetrate and substitute to their experiences in an interesting way to
communicate, as if I was able to grasp a part of their memories as well.

It is a kind of distant intimacy, reachable yet unreachable." -Artist Statement by Elise Lai

I bought this airplant (Tilldsia Ixioides) in MonKok. I just can't resist it's beauty and it was starting to blossom when I saw it in the shop. There were many species in the shop and I wanted to pick one which is easier to be handled. This one was the one I had before. But its leaves were too thin, so water cannot be kept easily and finally it died.

I got the vintage ring today. I bought it on etsy.
It was made in sterling silver. Truely beautiful. The oxidation is beautiful too.
I think it will become my another daily ring.

The left one is my favourite ring. I wear it everytime i go out. I think that it is an object that can bring me luck.

One day, I was tired from work. I got on the bus and I saw flying fishes in a wildlife program on the TV. I was very much cheered by them. I went home and drew all of these illustrations and this was how this collection comes from.

I hope these childish cards with bright colors will cheer you up!!!

This doggie card was inspired by this little dog who lives in an animal hospital. Love the dog!

My Interview Project : Object Dialogue

I used to have this apple juice bottle from I was in primary school. But I lost it when I moved to another place 3 years ago. I wanted to buy the juice again but the manufacturer changed the glass bottle into plastic ones. Finally finally, I found it again in a cafe in Taikoo, how nice?!!!!!! :)

Paper samples are beautiful. I want to make them into beautiful paper products.

The Golden Set(with her Animal Poetry)

I decided to repackage "The Golden Set" of "with her Animal Poetry".

The Golden Set

A set of 15 handmade paper envelopes.

This is an experiment of applying irregularly shaped golden paper onto geometrically shaped white envelopes.

The white paper used is a kind of old paper for typing machines. The golden paper is the craft paper I used to have when i was a kid. At that time I took these golden/silvery paper as a treasure. I feel happy revisiting this paper, using it to do something more precise now.

After starting my paper product brand for sometime, I decided to do something more personal - minimal design with good paper - The Golden Envelope Set. It is dangerous to design something too simple or without colors because people will not buy. But anyway i have done it. I hope you like it too! :)

The Rabbits and Penguin paper puppets are finally ready. This time all the parts will be contained in an envelope, with instructions on the back.

For the penguin, I took reference to a chinstrap penguin.

For the rabbit, it took me a lot more time to finish comparing to the penguin. A good rabbit is too difficult to draw!
