The washi tapes arrived!

Awhile ago I was invited by Japanese brand Aimez Le Style to design a few washi tapes.
At first I have no idea what washi tapes are. At the end I knew, they are something creative and inspiring. There are no fixed ways to use them. After you see them, and feel them in your hands, you will know how and where to use them.

For me, it is a challenge to create small drawings in a narrow canvas space. And due to the production requirements, there are limitations on the usage of colors. Luckily the limitations did not bring disadvantages. The illustrations finally became even more neat and accurate. Washi paper is a translucent paper. The original illustrations, when printed on the paper, became warm and delicate. They resemble the soft feelings of a pastel painting.

I hope you like my washi tapes. They are now available in my etsy shop. :)

there are in total three styles.

this one is called "forest in life", with squirrels, moles and rats in the little beautiful forest.

this on is "relaxed animals". there are eight animals , eash with its name on the body.

this one is called "noel in forest". it is for xmas.

so, i decorated my notebook!

i think they are perfect for gift packaging too.

white ducks

I made two little white ducks. One with long neck, another with short neck!

every duck is finished with hand-stitches.

I like this shot~

The big duck were found in a second hand market in Hong Kong.

The beaks were hand-weaved, and the eyes were hand-stitched.

If you want a white duck, you can visit my etsy shop. :)

Beak weaving

As the little beak is too small to sew, I created it by weaving instead. And I like the result.
